Admission
Session:
The school session starts in April.The Academic Session is from April to March. Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation(CCE) system based on Half- Yearly and Annual Examinations with internal assessments are used to evaluate students.The pattern is set out in school diary.75% of attendance is mandatory for students.
Admission Procedure & Criteria:
- Nursery, Higher Nursery & KG are pre-primary classes. Age-wise it is admissible, 3+ years for Nursery, 4+ years for Higher Nursery and 5+ years for KG.
- Admission to pre-primary classes are made on first-cum-first serve basis by interview only.
- Class I to VIII admission is made strictly on merit.
- In Class IX, only meritorious and deserving candidates are admitted.
- Scholarship is given to deserving students on merit.
- Special admission facilities for meritorious students.
- No Donation, No Capitation Fees for Admissions.
- No bias to class, caste, creed, gender and socioeconomic considerations while admission of a student in the school.
- Students of Maria’s Day School appearing in ICSE, are given first preference for admission in class XI
(ISC) Admission in Science stream is done strictly on merit.
- All admission in XI is provisional, unless ratified by the Council.
- Change of stream or subjects is exclusively the right of the School Management on the basis of
merit.
- Students shall have flexible choice of subjects for Science and Commerce.
- However, for lack of students in a subject, the School Management possesses sole right of
dropping the subject.
- Students failing / performing poorly in a subject, shall have no right to take the subject / stream in
ISC (class XI).
- In pre-primary classes i.e. Nursery, Higher Nursery and KG classes (KIDZONE), admission is offered twice a session, April and November, and admis9sion is made on first come first serve basis. Admission age is 3 years in Nursery.In Montessori Sishuniketan, toddlers are admitted.
- If any admission from class I to class VIII is offered, this is only to fill up vacant seats and all admission are strictly on merit.
- No capitation fees or donations are charged.
- Lobbying for admission is strictly discouraged. For all admissions, provisions of RTE are strictly followed.
- All details of admission are hung in school notice board or in the form of circular in website.

Evaluation System
From Class I to Class XII, the examination system is based on Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation
during whole of the academic year.
